LGC Australian Sports Supplement Survey
A 2016 survey of untested sports supplements available in Australia has revealed a 19% contamination rate with substances banned in sport, while two of the products tested presented a very real risk to health and almost certainly would have resulted in an anti-doping violation.
The survey was conducted by international anti-doping laboratory LGC in a bid to assess the risk to athletes and consumers that use products which do not undergo regular banned-substance testing.
